See how many gigabytes (GB) you need.
If you are interested in Imediasee's Per-GB live and/or Per-GB on-demand packages you may be wondering exactly how many GB you should buy to start.
Here's a quick way to make a solid estimate of how many GB you might need.
Do the GB math:
-
Average data-rate of your videos in kilobits per second (Kbps) times
Estimated number of minutes of video watched per viewer per day times
Estimated number of viewers per day times
Number of days before you want to refill your account with more GB (we recommend buying enough GB for at least 30 days at a time)
divided by 140,000
That should give you an ballpark number of the number of GBs you'll need for your first month. After those GB are used you can buy more based on your actual usage expectations. This may be necessary much sooner or much later than 30 days since actual usage will vary.
If figuring GB is not your idea of a good time, you might consider one of our our Per-Minute packages, which simplifies everything for you and allows you to focus only on how many minutes of video your viewers are watching. In our Per-Minute plans, Imediasee also does all your video encoding (encoding is priced separately) and uses Dynamic Delivery to delivery your videos in stunning quality for an easy to understand per minute charge. Lets face it, it is hard enough to estimate how many minutes of video will be viewed without having to calculate the of bandwidth you will need.
