Imediasee is pleased to announce the support streaming of on-demand video via HTTP and RTSP. This allows you to deliver your on-demand video to any web enabled device using your existing Imediasee account. With HTTP and RTSP protocols you can deliver to all kinds of mobile devices such as the Blackberry, iPhone, and Android at no extra charge.
As an Imediasee customer you have the option to enabled HTTP and RTSP streaming on your account, giving you more options to let your customers access your content. HTTP streaming supports IOS (i.e. iPhone) and Android devices and RTSP supports Blackberry devises. Both also work on computers.
With Imediasee you can have one account that can be used for all the protocols and it is totally under your control at the individual account level. For existing customers you can go to your account administration page and enable the protocols now.
Once you have the mobile protocols turned on, all you need to do is upload/publish the appropriate encodings that meet each target device's requirements. This allows you to remain in full control over what is being sent to each device.
Over time Imediasee will be adding additional protocols and live mobile streaming. Look for announcements here regarding the timing of these important upgrades.
